This immersive four-day summer workshop empowers rising 10th–12th graders to tackle
real-world urban challenges. Inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 11,
students collaborate with experts to design more sustainable, inclusive cities-while
building essential skills in innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving.

What is it?
This hands-on workshop guides participants through the full Design Thinking process
to address urban sustainability challenges. Students will:
- Investigate global & local issues affecting cities under SDG 11
- Empathize with community needs through interviews and field research
- Define specific sustainability goals and brainstorm creative solutions
- Prototype tangible models of urban innovations
- Test and refine ideas with feedback from peers and mentors
- Pitch actionable proposals in a Shark Tank–style showcase
