Are you a B.A.A.S. student pursuing (or interested in pursuing) a Residential Property Management (RPM) concentration/certificate?

If so, you may be eligible for a $1000 scholarship! Applications are due Mar. 1.

A Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree with a specialization in Residential Property Management (RPM) prepares you to make investment and management decisions. You'll explore aspects of real estate transactions, from residential to commercial to international, and learn about property appraisal, finance and management.

Completion of a BAAS with specialization in RPM will also earn students a Certificate in Residential Property Management.

Why Property Management?

  • DFW is a fast-growing community that is home to 600,000 apartments and over 300 million SQFT of office and ranks #1 in apartment construction and #4 in office construction in the US.
  • Property management professionals are in high demand! An estimated 70,000 Texans are employed full-time in the multifamily housing industry today with thousands of open jobs in the DFW area. 
  • Average pay for experienced property managers (3-5 years) has exceeded $100k over the last two years due to robust demand. Average starting pay is $60k+ and rapid growth is possible, especially with formal education. 

Award criteria:

  • Current Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) student 
  • Enrolled at least part-time during Fall 2025
    • Scholarship will be awarded during Fall 2025
  • Enrolled in at least 1 RPM concentration class during Fall 2025
  • GPA 2.7 or above
    • Priority will be given to students with higher GPAs

Each year, current graduating seniors and grad students show their UNT spirit by supporting scholarships and programs that directly impact fellow students with a gift in the amount commemorating their graduation year – for example, $20.23 for the year 2023.

Your contribution not only helps support students following in your footsteps, but it means you will receive a special philanthropy graduation cord and recognition at commencement.

To receive your commencement cord, please bring a copy of of the donation confirmation email to the Alumni Center (Gateway 170) or at the UNT at Frisco Welcome Desk, 12995 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75033, on weekdays between April 3 and May 12 from the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
